Terms of use and privacy

Last updated: October 14, 2026. Plain language, short on purpose.

What this is

Alexandrea's Library is a private, personal library. It lets you read your own books and PDFs, and, if you make an account, keep a copy of them and your reading places in the cloud so they follow you between devices. It is not a place to share or publish books. Nobody else can see your library.

Your books

Without an account

Everything stays in your browser on this device. Nothing about your books is sent to us. If you clear your browser's site data, those books are gone.

With an account: what we keep

This is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-2). There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics, and your data is never sold or shared, except where the law requires it (see above). Downloading the optional read-aloud voice fetches it from Hugging Face; nothing about you is sent along.

Storage and plans

Free accounts get 25 MB of cloud storage. If a book doesn't fit, it stays on your device only. Paid storage may be offered later; prices will be shown before you pay anything.

Inactive accounts

If you don't sign in for 3 years, we'll email you a warning. If you still don't sign in, the account and everything stored with it is deleted.

Deleting your data

You can delete any book from the cloud at any time ("Delete everywhere"). To delete your whole account, contact the site owner from the email address on the account.

No guarantees

This is a small personal project offered as is. Keep your own copies of books that matter to you. These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did.
